What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage to provide functionality, analyze usage, and improve the Platform.

Types of cookies we use

• Strictly necessary cookies for security, authentication, consent storage (_dc_consent), and core functionality.

• First-party DropCowboy page-view and click/scroll events used to operate the service and fill Website Hub dashboards. These may run before you Accept, except when you send GPC/DNT, choose Decline, or the site is set to wait for Accept even for JS page views.

• Hosted-site unique visit metering from CDN access logs (not the JavaScript SDK), used to bill hosting overage. This is not switched off by the cookie banner.

• Device fingerprinting (including FingerprintJS) and session replay, only after Accept (unless the site owner selected the exposed no-banner setting).

• Drop Cowboy web chat on dropcowboy.com after Accept, or if you click Live Chat (Drop Cowboy web chat).

• Google Analytics on the v1 DropCowboy application (not a live gtag on www.dropcowboy.com).
