Web Forms

Lead-capture forms with TCPA consent built in.

One script tag. No site token and no server code. Do not rebuild consent language or proof-of-consent storage; the script already does it.

When to use this vs REST

Use Web Forms to capture leads with consent on a website. Use REST to create contacts from your own forms.

Do not rebuild

  • Consent text and proof of consent.
  • Duplicate contact handling.

Drop-in

No token and no server code. Create the form in Drop Cowboy®, put the empty div from the snippet where the form should appear, then load this script. The form renders into that div. Submissions land as contacts with consent attached, with no extra POST handler required.

<div class="dropcowboy-form"></div>
<script src="https://webforms.dropcowboy.com/f/YOUR_WEBFORM_ID.js" defer></script>

JS API / HTML tag

No JavaScript API.

Auth and scopes

Per-webform ID (public embed)

Limits

  • Build the form in Drop Cowboy first; the script is keyed by the form id.

Routes are on https://api-v2.dropcowboy.com.

  • POST /contact/public/contacts - create a contact from your own form

Full reference: Contacts API.
