Model Context Protocol

Connect your AI tools to Drop Cowboy

Point any MCP client at the hosted Drop Cowboy® server and work with your contacts, campaigns and messages in plain language.

Server URL: https://mcp.dropcowboy.com/mcp

Connect in a few minutes

  1. Open Connect AI Tools

In the Drop Cowboy dashboard, open Developers > Connect AI Tools and pick your client: Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Claude and others.

  2. Follow the steps for your client

The dashboard shows the exact steps and the configuration to paste for the client you picked, including how it signs in.

  3. Ask in plain language

Try "show my last campaign's results" or "draft a text to my VIP list". Write actions still ask for confirmation in clients that support it.

What your AI tool can do

Contacts and lists

Search, create and update contacts, and manage lists and tags.

Messaging and campaigns

Draft and send voicemail, texts and campaigns, and read their results.

Building Blocks

Browse the Building Blocks catalog and get embed snippets. Catalog tools work before you connect an account.

Test the connection

The server speaks MCP over HTTP (JSON-RPC 2.0). An initialize call confirms your client can reach it.

Initialize a session
curl -X POST https://mcp.dropcowboy.com/mcp \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "x-key: $DC_KEY" -H "x-secret: $DC_SECRET" \

    }
  }'

MCP questions

What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI assistants discover and call tools in other products. Drop Cowboy runs a hosted MCP server, so there is nothing to install on your side.
Do I need to be a developer?
No. The dashboard walks you through connecting each client step by step. After that you work in plain language.
Will my AI tool send messages without asking?
Write actions still require confirmation in the AI tool when that tool supports it. Review what it proposes before you approve a send.
Does it cost extra?
Connecting is free. Messages and calls sent through MCP are billed like the same sends from the dashboard or the API.
Which calling rules apply?
The same ones as every other send: calling hours, your contact frequency limit, consent and your do-not-contact list.

Prefer to write code?

Everything the MCP server does is available on the REST API.
